Lojiway – Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal data when you use the Lojiway mobile application (“Application”).

 

1. Who We Are

Lojiway is operated by Eren Özkan, conducting business in the Republic of Turkey.

2. Information We Collect

When you use Lojiway, we may collect:

2.1. Account and Profile Information:

 

Name, surname, email address, date of birth, gender (optional), preferences, settings, photos (if uploaded).

2.2. Location Data:

Used for matching nearby users.

No location history is stored; only the most recent location is kept.

2.3. Messages:

User-to-user messages, which are automatically deleted after 24 hours.

2.4. Device and Usage Data:

IP address, device/OS, app version, crash logs, performance and interaction data.

2.5. Payments:

We currently do not collect any payment or transaction records.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data for:

Providing core services (nearby matching, profiles, messaging),

Improving performance and personalizing your experience (analytics, crash logs),

Ensuring safety, preventing fraud and abuse, enforcing our Terms,

Complying with obligations under Turkish law.

4. SDKs and Service Providers

We do not sell your data. We may share it only with processors acting under our instructions, such as:

Apple App Store (app distribution and platform services),

Firebase/Google (Authentication, Cloud Messaging/Push, Crashlytics, Analytics, Firestore/Storage),

Map/location providers (e.g., Google Maps, Apple Maps),

Necessary email, support, or CDN tools.

5. Legal Bases (KVKK – Turkish Data Protection Law)

Under the Law on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK), we process data on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract (Art. 5/2-c): account and core features,

Legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f): security/fraud prevention, service improvement,

Legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç): compliance with regulations when required,

Explicit consent (Art. 5/1): marketing notifications (if any), sensitive/background location, non-essential analytics (consent obtained where required).

6. Location Data

Location access is optional, but certain features (e.g., nearby matching) require it. We do not keep location history; only the latest location is stored while the service is in use. This is updated as you use the app and deleted when your account is removed.

7. International Data Transfers

Some data may be stored or processed outside Turkey (e.g., in the EU or USA) by our providers. Where required by KVKK, we rely on your explicit consent and/or safeguards approved by the Turkish Data Protection Authority. If consent is required, in-app notifications will be provided.

8. Data Retention Periods

Account/Profile: retained as long as the account is active; deleted within 30 days after a deletion request; may remain in backups for up to 90 days.

Messages: automatically deleted after 24 hours (users may delete earlier).

Location: only the last location is stored; deleted when the account is removed.

Analytics/Crash Logs: raw logs for ~90 days; aggregated metrics for 12–24 months.

Security/Fraud Logs: retained for 6–24 months depending on risk and legal needs.

Payments: not applicable (no payment/transaction data collected).

9. Security Measures

We apply reasonable measures such as TLS for communications, encryption where appropriate in storage, access controls, and backups. However, no system is 100% secure. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

10. Your Rights Under KVKK

You have the right to:

Learn whether your data is being processed,

Request access or a copy,

Request correction,

Request deletion under certain conditions,

Object to certain processing activities,

Restrict processing in cases allowed by law,

Request data portability where technically feasible,

File a complaint with the Turkish Data Protection Authority.

To exercise your rights, contact support@lojiway.com. We may need to verify your identity. We respond within 30 days, and may charge a reasonable fee for repetitive or excessive requests, as permitted by law.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Application is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect legal or service changes. For significant changes, we will notify you in-app or by email before the changes take effect. Continued use of Lojiway after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
